Learn Professional Chalk
Art eBook
Since its launch in early 2011, the Learn Professional
Chalk Art eBook has been, and continues to be refined and revised.
I cover everything, from which materials you'll need, to the secrets
of how to create vibrant smudge proof chalk art. You'll learn
from the nitty gritty of cutting and painting the board, to layouts
and design, illustrating (where, what and how) and lettering,
to pricing and job plans.
To date, over 100 pages of instruction, advice,
tips and tricks and photos explaining the whole process from start
to finish! All of the tutorials are available in PDF format, some
are also available in Powerpoint with video included.

Tutorial 1 - Basic Food Items
Because most chalk art will end up on a blackboard menu somewhere,
you'll need to learn how to draw food.
In Tutorial 1 I'll show you how to chalk art basic mushrooms,
cheese cake, a simple burger...
|
|
...to a little more complicated cheeky lobster, corn, Idaho potato,
sausage, ribs and more.
This tutorial has over 300 pages of step by step photos and instructions.
|
|
Tutorial 2 - Basic Heading Lettering
Learn basic and effective lettering suitable for headings.
Each tutorial has an easy 'jump to' and 'return to' contents
page, with user friendly hyperlinks.
Or take your time and scroll, stroll, through the pages at your
leisure. Over 100 pages.
|
|
Tutorial 3 - Feature board with Menu
Pocket
Now that you have an understanding of the basics, you might like
to tackle this chalk art feature board with a nifty printed menu
pocket.
Believe me, it's not as scary as it may look!
Over 160 pages of blow by blow photos and instructions.

Extra Resources Library
Every few months I'll be adding new resources to the library,
like the current 'Small Menu Blackboard/s.'
tutorial. This tutorial addresses the finer points of menu text,
problem solving, ice cream in a glass bowl, hot chips, a plate
of fresh oysters and a few extras.
Over 140 pages of photos, observations and teachers notes.

Coming next!
Take a close up look at this 'Homemade
With Love' chalk art blackboard. We'll investigate everything
from jam, pickles, chutney through to eggplant vines. Over 180
pages of photos and narration, from beginning to end!
The customer loved this one so much they ordered two more just
like it...but a little different :)

Coming soon!
'Logo Logic'
Sometimes clients like their business logo to feature on their
chalk art blackboards. Logos can be a little tricky by design
and in this tutorial we examine 3 examples. An intricate lacey
line logo, a complex coloured logo and the cute chicken logo on
the right, I created for a client to use exclusively.
